Blue Ridge Kayak Fishing, founded by Jeff Little, provides kayak fishing instruction for the Maryland & Virginia areas along the Blue Ridge Mountains. Classes include guided trips for river smallmouth, tidal largemouth, and reservoir bass.
The River smallmouth classes are taught along the Rappahannock, Shenandoah, and Upper Potomac rivers. Tidal largemouth classes are given on the rivers and tidal flats of the Upper Chesapeake Bay. Reservoir classes are currently being taught at Piney Run Park.
Key concepts taught during classes include: paddling technique, water safety, maintaining boat position, stealth approaches, pattern development, and finesse presentation technique.
