Kayak fishing classes are conducted on three different types of water: upland rivers, tidal, and reservoirs. Depending on if you intend on paddling a local lake, a mountain stream, or a tidal estuary, you can choose from these three different types of locations.

River or stream smallmouth classes can be taught on the Rappahannock or Shenandoah in Virginia, or Upper Potomac in Maryland. Tidal largemouth classes are primarily taught on the rivers and tidal flats of the Upper Chesapeake Bay. Reservoir classes are currently being offered on Piney Run Reservoir near Sykesville, MD, but other Maryland reservoirs will be added to the list soon.

Classes are offered for individuals or groups as large as 5. Anglers registering alone can do so at a cost $250. If registering more than 1 person, a discounted rate of $100 per additional angler will be applied.

A $100 deposit is required to reserve a class.
